Born in Chicago, IL on October 19, 1919, he was the son of the late Salvatore “Sam” and Maria “Mary” (Trepiedi) Dina.
During World War II, Michael honorably served in the U.S. Army in Normandy at Omaha Beach.
On May 18, 1947, he was united in marriage to Margaret Hampton. They lived in Chicago until moving to Kenosha in 1996. Sadly, after 65 years of marriage, Margaret preceded him in death on July 8, 2012.
For 33 years, Michael was employed as a medical supply purchaser for St. Ann’s Hospital in Chicago.
He was known as a kind, gentle man; who always saw the glass full.
Michael is survived by his two children, Michael Dina, Jr. and Susan (Stephen) Rich; his two grandchildren, Maureen “Moe” Cimino and Jenny (Matt) Hendersot; and two great grandchildren, Joey and Zachary Cimino.
Service Date November 7, 2018
Funeral Services honoring Michael’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 7th at 7:00 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
