Born in Oak Park, IL on July 19, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Grace (O’Malley) Doherty.
On November 19, 1960 at St. Paul of the Cross in Park Ridge, IL, she was united in marriage to Philip A. Golle.
Throughout her life, Mickey valued her faith and was grateful for her many blessings. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and attended daily mass. Mickey was instrumental in starting the Angels of Mercy in Lake Zurich at St. Francis De Sales Church. She was always very involved in the Catholic Church truly being the “Hands and Feet of Jesus” to everyone on her path. Her loving and caring personality made a lasting impression.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Philip A. Golle; her six children, Philip Golle of Kenosha, Matthew (Lou Ann) Golle of Mason City, IA, Michelle (Steve) Grady of Algonquin, IL, Monica (Ray) Kottke of Trevor, Michael Golle of Salem and Mark Golle of Kenosha; her sister, Kathleen Xaverius; her brothers, Harry (Kathy), Anthony (Judy) and John (Pat) Doherty; 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Andrew; and two sisters Patricia McGrail and Marion Hagan.
Service Date August 22, 2016
Funeral Services honoring the life of Mavourneen will be held on Monday, August 22, 2016. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 2224 30th Avenue. Interment will take place on Tuesday, August 23rd at 12:00 Noon in Calvary Cemetery, Evanston, IL.
