Born as the fifth child of eight, on December 2, 1952, to Eugene and LaVerne Davis, she was a graduate of Holy Child Catholic High School in Waukegan. Maureen, or as family and friends knew her, Mo, lived a life filled with creativity, warmth, and devotion to her family.
On September 15, 1973, she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Donald (Don) Duba. Shortly after their marriage, they built their own home in Gurnee, where they raised four children.
For many years, Mo was a homemaker, taking passion in raising her children, gardening, canning, and baking. She loved ceramics, crocheting, and sewing. Many lucky friends and family were recipients of crocheted booties, dishcloths, and beloved hand-painted porcelain Christmas wreaths she presented as gifts. As the children grew, Mo assumed the bookkeeping responsibilities for the family business, Dependable Heating and Air Conditioning.
Mo was a true matriarch for her family, providing the glue that kept everyone together. She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, Donald Duba; four children, seven grandchildren, and five siblings.
In addition to her parents, Mo was preceded in death by her brother, James Davis, and sister, Mary Harris.
Mo was a beautiful person, and her kind, giving nature will be remembered by those she leaves behind.
May she rest in peace.
