Born in Prentiss County Mississippi on December 4, 1946 to her loving parents, William Andy and Berthie Mae Grimes.
Mary was as a candy striper during her high school years. After high school she attended beauty school and earned her nursing degree as an LPN and was employed with a local doctors office in Zion, IL.
She married Loren Hanson and had two daughters Laura and Tina. Loren sadly passed away in September in 1970.
On April 20, 1974 she married the love of her life, Leo Reindl Jr. They were blessed with 41 years of marriage and a son Timothy. Leo owned several businesses which Mary played a huge part in. Sadly, Leo passed away on November 21, 2015.
Mary had many hobbies that included being an excellent cook. She loved to exchange recipes with friends and family. She was also an excellent seamstress and loved to make homemade dresses for her kids and grandkids.
Later in life Leo and Mary ran “R” Home Care services where they provided care to the elderly in their home. They were a true blessing and cared for many residents over the years.
Mary was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Kenosha and also attended First Baptist of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois as well as Diamond Hill in North Carolina.
She married Pastor Michael Brown on February 13, 2021 and moved to North Carolina. After the passing of her dear mother who she ministered to until her passing on October 8, 2020.
Mary will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Pastor Michael Brown; her brother Junior; her sister-in-law, Claire; her daughters, Laura (Frank) Daletski, Tina (Dave) Kisner; her son, Tim (Gail) Reindl; her grandchildren, Ally (Travis) Ciesielski, Lori (Chris) Swiggett, Mark (Kayla) Daletski, Avonlea (Parker) Sheffield, Elijah Kisner, Cora and Christopher Reindl, Jeremiah, Travis, Monica, Jessica, and Michelle Daletski; her great-grandchildren Leeland, Stella, Lilly, Evan, Harper, Elaina, Amelia, Raymond, and newest addition Jordyn; and many extended family members.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her infant brother, Timmy; her husband, Loren Hanson and husband Leo Reindl; her brothers, David and Larry; and her sister-in-law, Carolyn.

SERVICE LOCATION First Baptist Church
Funeral services honoring Mary’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Winthrop Harbor, 3001 9th St, Winthrop Harbor, Il.
Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
A visitation for Mary will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances in Mary Brown name may be made to Gordon’s Hospice House, 2341 Simonton Road Statesville, North Carolina 28625 is appreciated by the family.
