Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintMary Jean Gossen, age 93 of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 10, 2020 at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Born in Antigo, WI on November 2, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Inez Jilek. She was a graduate of Antigo High School in 1945.
In 1948 Mary was united in marriage to Vernon H. Gossen also a resident of Antigo. They later moved to Kenosha making it their home.
Mary was employed with Fansteel for many years.
She was a long-time member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and the Kenosha Senior Center.
Mary was a talented water color artist, loved flowers and became an avid gardener. She practiced Tai chi for many years understanding its many positive benefits.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Jay; her son, Craig Gossen; her grandchildren, Kara Gossen, Kyle Gossen and Eric Jay; her great-grandchildren; her sister, Diane Broeske, and her brother, Ken Bolle.
In addition to her mother and husband Vernon, she was preceded in death by her sister, Pat Bothe.
Funeral Services honoring Mary’s life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at the Piasecki Funeral Home. Interment will take place on Monday, January 27th at 1:00 p.m. in All Saint’s Cemetery. A visitation for Mary will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Interment will take place on Monday, January 27th at 1:00 p.m. in All Saint’s Cemetery. A visitation for Mary will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
