Born in Fairfield, IA on November 25, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Anna O’Neill. Mary was a high school graduate and attended Parsons College.
On January 6, 1942, in Fairfield, IA, she was united in marriage to Philip J. Loving. Together they raised their six children and shared 73 loving years of marriage. They made Kenosha their home in 2014. Philip preceded her in death on July 23, 2015.
The most important thing in Mary’s life was her family. She was devoted to her husband, children and extended family and made many happy memories with them. She always greeted family, friends and acquaintances with her beautiful smile and encouraging words.
She is survived by her children, Stephen Loving of Minneapolis, MN, Mark (Aljean) Loving of Elkhart, IN, Diane Thompson of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Peter (Antoinette) Loving of Bloomington, MN and Jean Ann (Stephen) Nelson of Pleasant Prairie, WI; her sixteen grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Rita Loving of Sioux Falls, SD and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by a son, David P. Loving; her sisters, Julia Welsh, Jo Ann O’Neill and Nancy Baird; her brother, John O’Neill; a son-in-law, Ronald Thompson and a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Loving.

A Memorial Mass honoring Mary’s life will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 10:30 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 607 South Jackson St, Mt Pleasant, IA, 52641 with luncheon and burial to follow.
