To all of Mary’s family, You have our deepest sympathy. I have wonderful memories of Mary and Toivo, and the family when we visited in Ironwood, and the years in Kenosha. My parents also loved them and we thought of them as “family”. I wanted all of you to know that Tom and I are so sorry not to be there for you in person due to Covid. I will be thinking of all of you with love.

Dear Maki Family and especially daughter Judy who I worked with at Village Inn around 1973-74. I worked with Mary at the Casino Townhouse around 1974-78. She was like a mother to us and was a hard worker, a great waitress, and made sure we all behaved. I was in college at the time so she would call me, the college kid. She was so beautiful, feisty and fun. When the music started she would dance around the dining room. What a great lady and how lucky that her kids had her this long. I still have my Casino Townhouse name pin with the martini glass on it. Those were great days !!

Dear Maki Family, You have lost the sweetest and most tender mother. I first met Mary many years ago when she invited me over to her house for dinner. She knew that her son , Ray, and I were good friends. Ray was in the service at that time. We immediately became lifelong friends. Mary Maki was giving and her kindness marinated throughout the Ironwood area. May she Rest In Peace and my cc thoughts and prayers are with you , Kay Cisewski Lustgarten

My Condolences to the Maki Family. During my youth growing up in Aurora Location in Ironwood, Mrs. Maki was like the spokes person for the neighborhood. Even as a child, I knew she was a woman of strong character and commitment. No one person would "mess" with Mrs. Maki. She spoke the truth, had respect, was stern but fair. She did leave an indelible mark on my memory. Again, sorry for your loss. Herb Ramme
