Born on February 12, 1954 in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Elsie (Zager) Zembrowski. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Tremper High School.
On March 25, 1976 in she married John Goodwin. He preceded her in death on October 14, 2010.
Mimi was a blessing to know. Sweet, kind, hardworking, and a loyal friend to those she loved. Just to be with her, put a smile on your face. She so loved caring for her yard and flower garden. In late summer, she always had a bouquet of fragrant lilies on her table and some to share. Mimi had a special place in her heart for animals and is sadly missed by her little companion, Sophie.
Travel and music were two of her favorite things. San Francisco and anywhere in Florida were frequent destinations. She enjoyed warm tropical islands with her husband of 34 years and a European adventure with dear friends. She fell in love with Paris and always hoped to return there some day.
From the Beatles to Jimmy Buffet she enjoyed hearing her favorites at outdoor venues with good friends and family. Friends and neighbors were always welcome to sit on her porch and enjoy music, laughter, and conversation. She liked to gamble a bit, and just like her mother, was quite the lucky one.
Mimi was happiest when in the company of her Goddaughter Amee (Steve) Christ and great nephews, David and Benjamin. She was most content sharing her time with family and friends. She will always be remembered as a compassionate lady who always had a kind word and an open heart.
Mimi is sadly missed by her sister and best friend Debbie (Alex) Falbo, lifelong friend Kris, extended families, and many friends.
