Born in Oil City, PA on May 10, 1954, she was the daughter of the late William D. “Bill” and Margaret “Peg” (Lynch) Owens.
On September 29, 1973 in St. Stephens Catholic Church, Oil City, PA she was united in marriage to Ronald Carter.
Spending time with her family brought her the greatest joy. Mary Ann was also a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan and adored Disney’s Magic Kingdom, especially Cinderella’s Castle and Mickey Mouse. She loved her animals and enjoyed the time she hung out at the Golden Coral with her friends.
She is survived by her husband, Ron Carter; her daughter, Rebecca ( Justin Perry) Carter; her seven siblings, M. Gretchen (Ken) Wagner, Catherine Friedrich, W. Chris (Linda) Owens, Cindy Wheeler, Kevin (Janine) Owens, Gregg (Debbie) Owens, Kelly Owens; and her many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Shannon, a son, Jason, her grandchild, and a sister, Coleen Owens.
Service Date April 8, 2015
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 9091 Prairie Ridge Blvd., Pleasant Prairie. Relatives and friends are invited to meet at the church for the Mass. Entombment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.
