Born in Valparaiso, IN on September 4, 1952, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rhae Ann (Wiese) Wegmet. He was a graduate of Hobart Senior High School, Class of 1970. Mark continued his education and earned his Master of Business Administration/OPM from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
Mark proudly served his country as a Corporal in the U.S. Marines Corps.
He was employed as a Quality Engineer for Tecomet Inc., retiring in 2021.
Mark was a member of Westosha Flying Club. He was an avid reader and loved airplanes, Harley Davidson motorcycles, fast cars and computers.
He is survived by his daughter, Salena Wegmet; his sisters, Johanna (Donald) Guth, Nancy (Donald) Anderson and Rachel McDonald; his cat, Loki and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara Wegmet and Susan Berg.

SERVICE LOCATION Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery
Committal services honoring Mark’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring Street, Union Grove, WI 53182.
Interment will follow in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to The ALS Association, https://als.org/wisconsin/donate would be appreciated.
