Born in Kenosha on September 19, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Rose (Schiller) Hauser. She attended St. George School and was a 1941 graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.
On April 21, 1945 at St. Casimir Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Chester Duczak. He preceded her in death on January 2, 1999.
Marion was the Vice President of M.J. Duczak Furniture Company until it closed in 1986. In her younger years, Marion was employed by Hollywood Theater, Coopers and Bardens.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Marion volunteered as the Treasurer of St. Catherine’s coffee shop and was a member of St. Casimir’s Women’s Auxiliary. She supported Women’s and Children’s Horizons through the Kenosha Women’s City Golf Tournament for over ten years.
Her life will be remembered by her sons, Richard, Michael (Sue), Raymond (Kim) and Robert (Karen) Duczak; her daughters, Roseann (Ron) Ellis and Ellen (Tom) Bothe; seventeen grandchildren; and twenty eight great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Maggi Duczak; her sister, Doris Molinaro; a brother, Floyd Hauser; and daughter-in–law, Linda (nee: St. John) Duczak.
Service Date February 12, 2018
Funeral Services honoring Marion’s life will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 2224 30th Avenue. Entombment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.
