Born on March 31, 1918 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Mary (Mee) Flocker. Marie was the 4th oldest of eleven siblings.
Marie received her education in the local schools of Kenosha. At the age of 18, she had to quit high school (during the Great Depression) to help support her large family.
On November 11, 1939 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Marie was united in marriage to Evo Oldani. Their union was blessed with 63 years of marriage. Sadly, Evo preceded her in death on April 18, 2003. Marie and Evo had three sons, Thomas, Robert and Michael.
She worked in the factory at Jockey International (Coopers) for 35 years while raising a family.
Marie was a great home maker and an outstanding cook but most of all, a cake maker. She was active in the Holy Rosary Ladies Society, Kenosha Woman’s Club, Artemis Club, and for many years, worked the Holy Rosary festival making home-made pasta. A reader of all kinds of books, she went to the library twice a month for years to check out books.
Most of all, Marie was a wonderful, sister, wife, mom, nana and friend. She will be missed by her loving family and friends.
Marie will be missed by and is survived by her sons, Thomas (Louise), Robert (Patty), Michael (Kathy); her eight grandchildren; her sixteen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Evo; her brothers, Edward, James, David, Robert, and Richard; her sisters, Frances, Jean and Cecelia; her twin siblings, Joseph and Helen in infancy.
At this time, the entire Oldani family would like to thank the entire staff at The Legacy at St. Joseph’s in Kenosha, along with Dr. Giuseppe Garretto, and the staff at the Piasecki Funeral Home for the loving care they gave to Marie.
