Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintMargaret M. Jurik, age 84 of Kenosha, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Hospice Alliance, Inc. /Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie with her loving family at her side.
Born on January 29, 1934 in Racine, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Agnes (Wasquite) Nelson. She attended schools in Racine and graduated from St. Catherine’s High School.
She married Joe Jurik in Waukegan, IL on January 15, 1956; making Kenosha their home in 1957. They were blessed with five children and 51 years of marriage; sadly Joe passed away on December 5, 2008.
Margaret took pride in staying home caring for her family while the children were young. Later she was employed with Kenosha Hospital; working as a lab assistant for nine years, retiring in 1987. A member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Margaret was a member of the YMCA “Silver Sneakers” and enjoyed line dancing.
She is survived by her children, Karen Lamping, Janet Jurik, Thomas Jurik, Cynthia (Michael) Lehr and Barbara Jurik; eight grandchildren, Marissa McCarthy, Brianne Jacob, Justin Lamping, Ryan Lehr, Nicole Lehr, Cassandra Jurik, Catrina Jurik and Sabrina Jurik and four great-grandchildren, Liliana and Jaydin Freitag, Isla Jacob and Ariel Eubanks.
In addition to her parents, and husband, Joe, Margaret was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Garski and six brothers, James, Joe, Carl, Ray, Kenneth and twin brother, Michael Nelson.
