Born on April 16, 1927 in Piggott, AR, she was the daughter of the late Auda and Lucy (Neoma) O’Neal. She was educated in schools in Greenway, AR.
Love began for Maggie and Doyle Harmon in the 2ndgrade. On June 23, 1945, they were united in marriage. They were blessed with four daughters and 61 years of marriage. Sadly, Doyle preceded her in death in 2007.
Maggie was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.
She was a faith-filled member of Parkside Baptist Church. Maggie actively served as a Sunday school teacher, served as a clerk with the Southern Baptist Association and was involved in many church committees with her husband.
Maggie enhanced the lives of others by volunteering at the Shalom Center and delivering Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed antique collecting, tending her garden and preserving her fruits and vegetables.
Left to cherish her memory are her four loving daughters, Carol Kellum, Kaye (Tom) Middlecamp, Patricia (Michael) Tenuta and Robin (Donald) Gillespie, all of Kenosha; her loving grandchildren, Tammy (Daniel) Nevoraski, Andrew and Brian (Michelle) Kellum, Michael (Stacie) and David Rosko, Christine (Eric) Cheng, John (Tera) and Michael Tenuta, and Adam and Aaron Mueller and Ellyn (William) Teddy; and her loving great-grandchildren, Samuel, Benjamin, Jacob, John Thomas, Jaythan, Mason, Carson, Miles, Natalie, Jane, Robin, Samantha, Benjamin, Brian and Mark.
She is further survived by her loving brothers, Tom and Cecil (Rebecca Young) O’Neal.
Along with her parents and husband, Doyle, she was preceded in death by her brother, Auda O’Neal; her sister, Betty Bailey; and her beloved dog, Abby.
Maggie’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Library Terrace, for the wonderful care shown to their mother and grandmother.
