Born in Bozakovo, Slovenia, on August 2, 1946, to the late Josip and Maria (Kozjan) Nemanic. She was educated in local public schools.
On January 16, 1971, Magdalena was united in marriage to Stanislaw Slobodnik.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir and shared her talent for sewing.
Magdelena was employed by Schmidt Protective Services.
Magdalena will be greatly missed by her husband, Stanislaw; her brothers, Fr. Jernej Nemanic, Anton and Martin Nemanic and her sisters, Terres Nemanic, Neska Lencic and Ann Fiamengo.
Along with her parents, Magdalena was preceded in death by her brother, Josip Nemanic and her sisters, Mary Yutronich, Ivanka Matjasic and Angela Slanc.
Funeral services honoring Magdalena’s life will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 1919 54th Street. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the church for Mass. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery.
