Lynn was born at home on April 24, 1939 in Forrestville, WI and was the son of the late Myrtle and Henry Uecker. He was a 1957 graduate of Algoma High School and 1966 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he received his electrical engineering degree.
He honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1962 and was stationed in Korea.
While attending the University of Wisconsin, Lynn worked in their horticulture department. It was there that he met his future wife, Anita. They were married for nearly 45 years, and they were blessed with three loving daughters.
After graduation, Lynn moved to Kenosha and accepted a position at Dynamatic Company. He was employed and retired from Eaton Dynamatic after over 40 years of dedication.
Lynn was an incredible father. He was extremely patient, kind, gentle, and intelligent. He doted on his five grandchildren and spent time with them every chance he got. He was very social and enjoyed going to concerts, walking on the beach in Florida, golfing, tinkering, travelling, and get-togethers with friends and family. Lynn’s many interests also included racquetball, making stained glass, watching football, jogging, and reading and napping in his lanai and ‘zebo. His family and friends will always remember his witty personality and thoughtful, generous soul.
Lynn is survived by his three daughters, Laura (Joel) Falstad, of Poynette, WI; Sara (Brad) Simplot of Lodi, WI; and Melissa (Joshua) Fry of Belleville, WI; his five grandchildren, Kyley Jo, Brea, and Charles Falstad and Abigail and Benjamin Simplot; his sister, Verda Gigstad of Sturgeon Bay, WI; his brothers, Leland (Carol) Uecker of Sturgeon Bay, WI; and Lloyd (Lyla) Uecker of Algoma, WI; a very dear friend, Sally Madden of Racine, WI; “honorary” daughter, Elaine (Jim) Gradl of Kaukauna, WI; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Anita; his sister, Jane; and his brother, Kenneth.
