Born on November 24, 1928 in Carpio, ND, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Rose (Mizeur) Williams. Later she moved with her family and made Kenosha her home. Lou attended local schools, including Mary D. Bradford.
On September 22, 1951 she was married to the love of her life, Earl A. Guttormsen. Sadly, Earl passed away on January 7, 1999.
Lou was a very dedicated, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was very involved in the bowling community. She was a member of the Kenosha Women’s Bowling Assoc. for 43 years. Lou was inducted into the Hall of Fame for her meritorious service and outstanding performance. She was a youth bowling instructor, running the youth programs at many of the bowling centers for many years. Lou has coached many of the city’s top bowlers. She had served as president of the Kenosha Youth Bowling Assoc. for 20 years and was a member of the WI State Youth Bowling Assoc. Board of Directors for eight years.
Lou is survived by her five children, Gail (John) Vukos, Gary Guttormsen, Lee Guttormsen, Diane (Dennis) Northern and Joy (Herb) Haubrich; six grandchildren, Rachel (Miguel) Gonzalez, Ashley and Alicia Haubrich, Chris (Jennifer), Dennis Jr.(Rachel), and John(Gena) Northern; 10 great grandchildren, Alejandro, Angelo, and Andreas Gonzales, Sophia Hylton, Travis, Noah ,Madeleine ,Hunter ,Isabelle, and Madison Northern; four sisters, Julia Morrow, Arlene Brower, LaVerne Wavruk and Joyce Silbert along with many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeff; 3 sisters and 8 brothers.
The Guttormsen family would like to thank Dr. Rashid and all the angels of the Aurora Cancer Center for their loving care and support.
Service Date December 29, 2014
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the Piasecki Althaus Funeral Home, 3720-39th Ave., Kenosha, WI. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Cemetery.
