Born in Kenosha on December 29, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Henry and Magdalena Junkel.
On June 24, 1950, Louise married her childhood sweetheart, Wally Block. She was a devoted wife of 62 years.
Louise’s personal touch was felt by others in many ways. Her expressions of love included thoughtful cards, a listening ear, unique gifts, baking, sewing and entertaining. Her home was a gathering place for many throughout the years. Everyone was welcome.
She was a faithful member of Journey Church (formerly Kenosha First) serving in various capacities throughout her life. She will be remembered for her love for God, compassionate heart and generous hospitality.
“Mom” wanted nothing more than to have a good marriage and a large family. She devoted her life to being a supportive wife and giving to her children.
Louise will be remembered by her five children, Pam (Mike) Wetzel, Walter “Chip” (Cyndi) Block, Sheri (Del) McCallister, Tracey (Mark) Davis, and Bruce Block; ten grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wally, and daughter, Terry.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 11:00 am at Journey Church, 10700-75th St. Kenosha. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
