Loretta was born in Racine on October 20, 1922 to John and Anna (Rieke) Lindquist. She was a graduate of Racine Park High School.
On June 14, 1947, she married Herman Pooch and moved to Kenosha.
She was a member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church for 71 years.
After raising her children, she was employed as a secretary at the Kenosha County Health Department until her retirement in 1982.
Loretta spent many retirement years enjoying bowling, golf, playing cards, baking, and socializing with friends and family. She last bowled and golfed at age 92.
She is survived by her loving children, Susan (Don) Lamers, St. Louis, and Ken (Sonia Mott) Pooch, Brookfield; her cherished grandchildren, Brad Lamers, Katie (Ted) McNabola, David Lamers, Matt Lamers (fiancé Jaime Ericson), and Emily (Jenny) Gruener; her precious great-grandchildren, Maggie McNabola, Claire McNabola, Tully McNabola, soon-to-be born Baby McNabola, and Christopher Aguilar; and by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2015; her parents; her brothers, Ken (Harriet) Lindquist and Wayne (Beverly) Lindquist; and her sister, Eleanor (Howard) Ahrndt.
Service Date March 21, 2019
Private funeral services were held on Thursday, March 21, at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church.
