Her life began on August 31, 1925, born in an elevator at St. Mary’s Hospital; the daughter of the late Roscoe and Marian (Mohrbacher) Holsinger. She attended local schools and graduated from St. Catherine’s High School.
Lois married Norbert C. Neumann on November 22, 1945 at Holy Name Church in Racine. They were blessed with 65 years together; raising four children. Sadly Norm passed away in 2011.
She worked at Abbot Laboratories for many years in administration for the engineering department; retiring in 1985.
Lois was strong in her faith and a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She was an incredible baker and baked for her family and friends alike. She enjoyed music very much; sang in her church choir for many years and could dance with grace and rhythm. She liked to fish too. Lois was very loving, sharp and tenacious and a great secret keeper. She was an inspiration to her family and friends and was the keeper of family history. Lois always remembered anniversaries and birthdays and could be counted on to send a card.
The legacy of love that she leaves behind will be carried on through her daughters, Kathy Sadowski and Tricia (Paul) Gontscharow; grandchildren, Lynn (Bob) Schulak, Ellen (Bill) Kavanagh, Sandy (Dennis) Procknow, Traci (Melissa) Klawes, Cheryl Sadowski, Daniele (Paul) Aceto, Christopher (Kristen) Gontscharow, and Andrew Gontscharow; ten cherished great-grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and four sisters.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, Norm; Lois was preceded in death by two children, Janice Klawes, and Charles Neumann II; two sons in law, Dennis Sadowski and Al Klawes and two brothers.
Lois’s family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care given by Dr. James Santarelli, Stacy Zarnstorff Green, Nurses- Ally and Autumn along with the entire Aurora Hospice Staff.
