Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintLinda M. (Paulausky) Odegaard, age 62, passed away at Hospice House on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 surrounded by her family.
Born in Waukegan, IL on May 14, 1959, she was the daughter of the late George and Muriel (Elsworth) Paulausky. Linda was educated in the Beach Park School District and graduated from Zion-Benton Township High School in 1977.
She was employed as a Microbiologist for Abbott Laboratories for 31 years.
Linda committed her life to the Lord and dedicated four years to the Franciscan Sisters before God called her to use her gifts serving in a different way. After returning to the Kenosha area in 2017, she became a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and lived her life volunteering and giving back to her community. As a volunteer and leader for Kenosha Literacy Council she was awarded the Pearl Seavitte Tutor Award in 2019. Linda was also presented with the People Whisperer Award from Love Inc. of Lake County where she served as an intake representative serving those in need.
Linda is survived by her brothers, Larry (Diane) Paulausky, Lon (Stacey) Paulausky; her step-mother, Mary Freiberg-Paulausky; her step-brothers, David (Kathy) Freiberg, Michael (Sue) Freiberg and Alan (Gail) Freiberg; her nieces, Melody (Finn) O’Driscoll and Holly Paulausky.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved niece, Alli (Paulausky) Rahn.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice Alliance for all their care and support given to Linda. In addition, the family would also like to thank Fr. Ireneusz Chodakowski for the comfort provided by his weekly visits of prayer and communion.

SERVICE LOCATION St. Peter Catholic Church
Funeral services honoring Linda’s life will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church 2224 30th Avenue, Kenosha, WI.
Interment will follow in Northshore Garden of Memories.
A visitation for Linda will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances in Linda’s name may be made to Shalom Center www.shalomcenter.org or to www.loveinclakecounty.org, and would be appreciated.
