Linda Ortiz Villarreal, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Aurora Medical Center.
Born in Uvalde, TX on July 6, 1948, she was the daughter of Roque and Elida (Hidalgo) Ortiz. Linda was a graduate of Uvalde High School.
She was employed as an Assembler for Technova, until her retirement in 2016.
In her spare time, Linda enjoyed bingo, the farmers market and loved spending time with her family and best friends Debbie and Mary. She also was an avid reader and worked many word searches and puzzles.
She is survived by her children, Dionicio (Angel) Villarreal, Anthony (Cheryl Brown) Villarreal, Michael (Rachel Wells) Villarreal and Lynda (Shaine) Villarreal-Birdd; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brothers, Ruben R. Ortiz and Rudy R. Ortiz; her sisters, Elia R. Rivera, Delia C. (Danny) Gomez, Veronica Ortiz, Virginia Ortiz and Rachel Ortiz and her aunts, Ramona Torres and Rebecca Gonzales.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brothers, Rafael, Richard, Rene and Raymond Ortiz.
Service Date March 1, 2023
Linda will be brought home to Texas at a later date.
