Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintLillian Ogden-Kolmos, age 91 of Kenosha, died on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie, with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Kaukauna, WI on November 7, 1923 and was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Rueden) Ebben. She was a 1942 graduate of Appleton West High School.
On September 2, 1944 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Appleton, she was united in marriage to Harold Ogden. They made Kenosha their new home. After 43 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on February 10, 1988. On October 14, 1989, at St. James Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Jesse Kolmos. He preceded her in death on August 11, 1999.
Lillian was a faithful member of St. James Catholic Church since 1945. She served as president of St. James Catholic Women, and was a member of Home and School through St. James Elementary School.
She was very active in the DAVA and was a past State Commander from 1973-1974. Lillian loved to golf and for over 30 years, she was in various golf leagues including Spring Valley Country Club.
Lillian worked as a secretary and homemaker.
She is survived by her two sons, Donald Ogden and Ronald (Nancy) Ogden of Kenosha; her step-children, Denise (Kevin) Cassin of Tustin, CA and Sharon Kolmos of Chino, CA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, John (Kelly) Mauser of Kenosha, Jim (Kimberly) Mauser of Kenosha, Andrew (Cara) Schneiderman of Kingsland, GA, Nathan Schneiderman of Kenosha, Donald Ogden, Jr. of Kenosha, Rachael (Paul) Heideman of Woodstock, IL and Jacob (Meghan Webb) Ogden of Kenosha. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, Emily, John, Chloe, Hanna, Pheonix, Tryumph, Zoey and Addison.
She is further survived by two brothers, James (Judy) Ebben of Appleton, WI and Francis (Joann) Ebben of Menasha, WI; her 2 sisters in law, Rose Ebben and Delores Ebben and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Ogden; a daughter, Mary Kay Mauser; a step son Robert Kolmos; her brothers Virgil, Myron (Mike) and Harvey Ebben; her sister, Evelyn Peters; her step-brother, Merlin Kimball and one brother and two sisters in infancy.
The family wishes to thank the many angels at Hospice House who gave wonderful care and unlimited affection to Lillian and her family throughout her stay with them.
Service Date July 2, 2015
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2015 beginning with a prayer service at 9:15 a.m. at Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave., Kenosha. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 5821 10th Avenue. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery.
