Born in Kenosha on September 21, 1939, he was the son of the late Cajetan “Clayton” and Josephine (Gburkowski) Czarnecki. He was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School and also had attended U.W.-Parkside.
He served our country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1969.
Larry was a skilled electrician and was employed with J.I. Case from 1980 until his retirement in 2005. Previously, he was employed with MacWhyte Wire Rope Company.
He was a member of I.B.E.W. Local #430-Racine and the P.L.A.V. James Smelcer Post #34. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and playing hand ball. He was the happiest when he was surrounded by his loving family; especially his grandchildren.
Larry is survived by his former wife, Kristine; his six children, Todd (Kim) Czarnecki, Greg (Karen) Czarnecki, Tracy (Ronald) Kozmer, Randy (Kelly) Czarnecki, Jill (Jason) Kenesie and John (Kim) Czarnecki; his grandchildren, Alexandria and Sydney Czarnecki, Emily and Lauren Czarnecki, Zachary, Hayden and Kendra Kozmer, Leah and Brinnly Czarnecki, Amaya, Chase, Aubriana, Lincoln and Katarina Kenesie; his sister, Mary Doherty; and his sisters-in-law, Janice Czarnecki and Donna Czarnecki.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Edmund, Henry, Thomas and George Czarnecki; a sister, Antoinette Aulozzi; four siblings in infancy; brothers-in-law, William Doherty and Louis Aulozzi; and a sister-in-law, Helen Czarnecki.
Service Date January 10, 2019
Funeral Services honoring Larry’s life will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue, Kenosha. Interment with full military honors will follow in St. Casimir Cemetery.
