Born on November 18, 1968, in Kenosha to Charlie and Dale (DeLoria) Rice, he attended Tremper High School and later graduated with an associate’s degree in business from Gateway Technical College.
Ken devoted his life to his family and always cherishing the moments spent with them, especially the loves of his life, Estelle and Rory. He will be forever remembered by his family and friends for his unwavering love and countless adventures he shared with them.
A lifelong baseball enthusiast, Ken’s love of the game began at a young age when he was coached by his father. He then carried on this legacy when he coached his son, Nick. Ken was a die-hard Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers fan. He recently celebrated an incredible moment in his life when he checked off visiting all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums (in addition to countless decommissioned stadiums) from his bucket list and looked forward to stage two, eagerly planning to attend more Cubs road games.
An avid craps player, Ken enjoyed rolling dice at Rivers Casino and American Place Casino, and would never shy away from exploring a new casino when on vacation. Whether it was playing sports, gambling or placing a sports bet, Ken embraced the thrill of competition and the joy of camaraderie.
Amongst his proudest moments was teeing it up with his son at the iconic Old Course at St. Andrews in Scotland. Ken also cherished time spent on local golf courses, including Big Oaks and Strawberry Creek, where many lasting friendships were formed.
Ken leaves behind a loving family, including his wife, Jennifer; son, Nick (Nicole); mother, Dale; grandchildren, Estelle and Rory Rice; brothers, Jason and Michael Rice; niece, Paige Rice; and nephew, Ayden Rice. His spirit will be carried on through those who loved him dearly.
