Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintKenneth C. Miller, age 92, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at St. Joseph Home & Rehab Center.
Born in LaValle, WI on April 4, 1924, he was the son of the late Clinton and Esther (Schultz) Miller.
Kenneth was united in marriage to Maxine J. Schoonover on April 15, 1945, in Kendall, WI. They were blessed with three children and 65 years of marriage before Maxine passed away on September 7, 2010.
On May 31, 1945, Kenneth enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving during WWII in Germany and received his honorable discharge on July 7, 1946. He later went on to serve in the Wisconsin National Guard from August 29, 1949 until August 28, 1952, retiring as Corporal.
Kenneth was employed with Nash/AMC/Chrysler Corp. for 33 years, working as a machine set-up and repairman.
He was a member of the UAW Local #72 Retirees, the Kenosha Moose Lodge #286 and the VFW Junker-Ball Post #1865. During his earlier years, Kenneth and Maxine enjoyed camping, visiting their home in Adams County and taking casino trips. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and in his retirement years, took up lawnmower repair and kept busy with other home repairs.
Kenneth will be deeply missed by his three children, Darlene Delaney, Shirley (Dale) Pfaff and Ricky (Brenda) Miller; a brother, Harlan (Angie) Miller; his sister, Maxine Miller; four grandchildren, Lee and Steven Delaney, Roxanne (Mark) Marotz and Amber (Matthew) Doe and six great-grandchildren.
Kenneth’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of both Hospice Alliance and St. Joseph’s Home for the care and compassion given to their father.
Service Date March 13, 2017
A visitation honoring the life of Kenneth will be on Monday, March 13, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave., Kenosha, WI. Interment with full military honors will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
