Born in Kenosha on July 1, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Leoma (Voster) Davis. She attended St. Joseph High School and was a graduate of Kenosha Teachers College. She did her undergraduate studies at Carthage College and received her Master’s Degree from U.W. – Whitewater.
On September 10, 1965 in Waukegan, IL, she was united in marriage to Keith Gentz. Sadly, after 30 years of marriage, Keith preceded her in death on September 25, 1995.
Kendall was employed as an elementary school teacher with the Paris Consolidated School District.
She was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where she involved herself in many of the church’s activities. Kendall loved all things Irish; especially Celtic music. In her younger years, Kendall played league volleyball. She liked playing cards, reading and for over 40 years, she owned and loved the “Gentle Giant” canine breed, Great Dane.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Joy) Gentz and her aunt, Betty Edquist.
Service Date February 21, 2017
Funeral services honoring Kendall’s life will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 7400 39th Avenue. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the church for the Mass. Entombment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.
