Kathryn Hillesland, age 79, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Kathryn was born on March 28, 1945 in Champaign, IL, to Earl and Florence (Leonard) McKinley. She was a graduate of Champaign High School.
On July 11, 2001 Kathryn was united in marriage to Louis Hillesland. The couple had 2 children, Toby Livingston, Paige Livingston.
Kathryn was best known for her love of collecting Vera Bradley Purses as well as her beloved Boyd’s Bears. She also loved reading and traveling around the country touring lighthouses.
Kathryn is survived by her husband, Louis Hillesland; son, Toby (Amy) Livingston; daughter, Paige Livingston; sister, Earleen (Charles) Peters; brothers, Thomas (Linda) McKinley, Timothy (Cam) McKinley; grandchildren, Kacy Robinson, Alex Robinson; great grandchildren, Olivia Ortego and Violet Ortego.
Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Florence McKinley.
Memorial services honoring Kathryn’s life will be held at a later date in Monticello, IL.
