Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintKathleen A. Mielke, age 68 of Kenosha, died on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Grand Prairie Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pleasant Prairie.
Born in Kenosha on September 24, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Sifrin and Gladys (Ditter) Mielke.
Kathleen worked as an assembler at the Kenosha Achievement Center (KAC) for more than 30 years.
She was a member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church and a member of the ARC of Kenosha County.
Kathleen participated in the Special Olympics where she won numerous medals and ribbons. She enjoyed swimming, bowling, knitting and staying active at the KAC. She also looked forward to her annual trip to Florida.
She is survived by Linda Mielke of Lake Wales, FL; Kenneth Mielke of Trevor, WI; Doris (Theodore) Palmen of Bristol and Ruth Wischmann of Stuart, FL; Aunt Dorothy Shields of Winthrop Harbor, IL, and her care giving family, Jeff, Jeanne, Josh and Heather Lauer. She is further survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, Earl (Linda A.) and William Mielke; her niece, Jamie Cottrell and nephews, Timothy Mielke and Brandon Wilson.
Service Date December 19, 2016
Funeral Services honoring Kathleen’s life will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720-39th Ave., Kenosha, WI. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Cemetery.
