Born in Kenosha on October 8, 1925, she was the daughter of the late John and Alice (Parish) Rickard. June cherished the memories of her childhood, traveling with her family and harmonizing with her parents and brother on road trips.
She was educated at Grant School, Berryville, Washington Junior High and was a 1943 graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.
Following graduation, June was employed with American Motors Corp., in the receiving office. After leaving AMC, she was employed with the Veteran’s Office at the Kenosha County Court House, until her retirement.
On August 31, 1959, June was united in marriage to Lloyd “Jack” Baysinger at Grace Lutheran Church. Their marriage was blessed with many years of love and happiness, making memories camping in their trailer and going to football games and other sporting events. Sadly, Jack passed away in 2005.
June was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Kenosha, where she was a Sunday School teacher, a pianist for Sunday School and other groups. She was also a member of Jobs Daughters Bethel, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and various musical groups. June and Jack spent their retirement years traveling to many countries. After selling their home on 22nd Avenue, they spent 17 winters in Tucson, Arizona near Jack’s sister and father, while keeping an apartment in Kenosha to return to over the summers.
She will be deeply missed by her loving nieces, nephews and other extended family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her only brother, John Rickard and a sister-in-law, Lourie.
June’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Brookside Care Center for the care they gave to June and Jack while they were in their care.
