Born in Kenosha on June 30, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John and Jennie (Pfeiffer) Moyl. She attended local schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School.
On August 23, 1958, she was united in marriage to James M. Kemen; sadly he passed away on April 13, 1995.
Julie had the gift of music; teaching and performing professionally. She organized and played in this area under “Julie’s High Hatters”. She shined on the accordion and offered private lessons in her home.
A lifelong member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Julie enjoyed bowling but will be remembered as a devoted mother who cherished her grandchildren and spending time with her family and friends.
Left to cherish her memory is her sons, John Kemen and Jeff (Christine) Kemen and grandchildren, Connor and her namesake, Julia.
Along with her parents and husband, James, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ann Born and Mary Umek.
Thank you to the staff at Azura Memory Care and Hospice Alliance, Inc., for their compassionate care of Julie.
