My morning started rough with Jonah letting me know that heaven had gained a new angel my sweet friend, Judi Innis. As I drove to work sobbing…I didn’t want to go…but a song about friends came on K Love. I knew it was sent from you my dear friend to tell me to go take care of my patients as that is what us nurses do. I think this is the only picture I have of us together as we were always taking pictures of our boys instead. Your son was like my 5th son and I know my boys were like your boys as well. We used to hang out almost every weekend, order Pietro Salads or Pasta, feed our boys pizza, let them swim or play and we would watch a chick flick. We shared many stories together and laughed a lot. You were the first person to tell me that how my ex treated me was not normal…it took me awhile but I finally realized it myself. You were there for me thru my divorce and my healing. Your hubby’s job moved you to GA and then again to MI. We still managed to see one another when you lived in GA thanks to my boys gymnastics. You even drove back to TN to watch me get my MSN, FNP. You were an amazing LPN that truly cared about your patients. You were determined to get your RN and conquered it even though newly diagnosed with ALS. ALS sucked your life from you but you were determined to kick its butt and you sure did give it a fight. I am honored that YHWH crossed our paths and know that you are looking down from heaven. I know that you are now a forever angel to your hubby, Allen Innis, who truly honored your wedding vows and took amazing care of you doing these tough years. I know that you were beyond proud of your son, Brandon Innis, and will be watching over him as well. Know that I will be there for him as well like you would of done for my boys. Now go and rest my sweet friend…go and run, eat some Pietro salads or pasta, and laugh as your suffering has come to an end and you have earned your wings! Love you with all that I am…..
