Juanita was born on November 13, 1944, in Kenosha WI to Frank and Ida (Passanante) Ritacca. Growing up, Juanita attended Kenosha schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School. After high school, she attended cosmetology school and worked in the big city of Chicago as a beautician.
On July 25, 1971, she married Daniel Stolfo in Chicago IL. In 1990, Juanita returned to Kenosha with her family, and she retired from St. Joseph High School as an administrative assistant. She was a devout Catholic and enjoyed her time as treasurer of the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Ladies Altar Society.
Juanita found joy in singing with her sisters and visits with her grandkids. She loved playing slot machines and bingo, and she enjoyed baking. Juanita was known for her famous Hostess Cake and cheesecakes. She was also an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Blackhawks fan. Known as “Gonita” by those close to her, she was a “Gadget Queen.” You could always expect a mystery gift from her at Christmas. She loved watching people open their gift and try to guess what it was.
Juanita is survived by her husband, Dan; sister, Rosemarie DelConte (Cookie); two children, Danielle (Jared) Jurk and Jonathan; grandchildren, Tristen and Mackenzie; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Marilyn Bindelli, Virginia Ritacca, Lucille (Dolly) Aiello, and Nadine Reindl; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Daniel and Marian Stolfo; brothers-in-law, James DelConte and Dante Bindelli.
