She was born on November 6, 1918 in Kenosha, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Jankula) Hujik.
As a young woman, Josephine was employed at Woolworths and at Coopers (Jockey Int.). Following her marriage, she became a proud homemaker.
On June 12, 1948 she was united in marriage to Frank P. Bagdonas. He preceded her in death on June 22, 2003.
Josephine was a longtime member of St. Peter Catholic Church. An avid sports fan, she enjoyed cheering on her Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, and Purdue Boilermakers. In addition, she gardened, read, and crocheted. Card games, crossword puzzles and bingo, were also a part of her life.
Survivors include her daughter Sharon (Paul) Specht; her two grandchildren, Brian (Loren) Specht and Erin Specht; her great grandson Leo Specht, and her siblings, Bette Minkus and Frank Hujik.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sisters, Julius Hujik, Mary Smith, Ann Wallace, and Margaret Ruffalo.
Service Date September 15, 2016
Funeral services honoring the life of Josephine will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 2224- 30th Ave.
