Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintJose Rodriguez Jr., age 74, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 21, 2022, at Aurora Hospital Kenosha, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in July of 1948, in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico he was the son of the late Jose Ascuncion Sr. and Maria Luisa Rodriguez of Puerto Rico.
In April of 2022, he married Adriana Pineda, who got to know him and his lovely personality.
From 1967 until 1973, Jose, a Vietnam Veteran, proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
Jose enjoyed airplanes, fishing, and all things tech. In his early years, Jose owned an auto repair shop in Chicago, IL. Jose was a committed Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed watching Let’s Make a Deal, Jeopardy, and The Price is Right, among other game shows.
He passed on his love of technology and ability to talk back to a TV game show to his son, Benjamin.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Benjamin A. Rodriguez of San Francisco, CA; his wife, Adriana Pineda Rodriguez of Kenosha, WI; his siblings, Armando (Maria) Rodriguez of Kissimmee, FL, Fred (Elizabeth) Rodriguez of Kenosha, WI, Milagros Ruiz of Chicago, IL, and Helen (Faustino) Ortiz of Chicago, IL. Jose is also survived by his 20 nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jose was preceded in death by his brother, Miguel Mulero.
The family would like to express gratitude and appreciation to the following for their loving and compassionate care of Jose; Aurora ICU, the Med Surg Unit and medical staff at Aurora Hospital, the staff at Grande Prairie Health and Rehabilitation Center, and all his previous home caretakers including Ashley and Bekki.

Funeral services honoring Jose’s life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at the Piasecki Funeral Home in Kenosha with full military honors.

A visitation for Jose will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
