Born in Austin, MN on November 20, 1943, he was the son of the late William A. and Martha L. (Dungan) Lovell. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.
John proudly served in the U.S. Navy.
For many years, John was employed as a caster with American Brass Company until his retirement. Previously, he was employed with Kenosha Lumber Company and also worked for the family business, Dairy Queen on north Sheridan Road.
John enjoyed fishing, hunting and motorcycle riding. His most favorite fishing trip was to Alaska.
He is survived by his two children, John (Sheryl) Lovell, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ and Mark (Liza) Lovell of Kenosha; six grandchildren; two brothers, James (Teresa) Lovell of Peoria, AZ, and Thomas (Mary) Lovell of Kenosha; and several loving nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Hospice Alliance, Inc. for the exceptional care they provided.
