John C. Nelson, age 90, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018.
A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was born on August 8, 1927; the son of the late, William and Cecilia (Kirschbaum) Nelson.
On June 8, 1953, John was united in marriage to Nita Brown.
John proudly served his country in the US Army and was a machinist with G & H Products for many years until his retirement.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 64 years, Nita; his son, Robert (Carrie) Nelson of Clinton, WI; his 4 grandchildren, Dianna Nelson, Natalie (Leo) Alvarez, Jonathan (Alex) Nelson and Stephanie Nelson; 3 great grandchildren, Jase, Rylee and Tati along with his siblings, Joyce Debruin, Patsy (Jeff) Lester, Joseph (Mary) Nelson and Thomas (Betty) Nelson.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Terry Nelson.
In accordance with John’s wishes services will be held privately. Interment will take place in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
