Born on June 17, 1918, in Kenosha, he was the son of the late Savino and Crocifissa (Pasqualucci) Camponeschi. Joe attended local schools and graduated from Kenosha High School.
Joe honorably served our country in the U. S. Army from 1941 until 1945 in the Pacific Theater during WWII.
On November 1, 1964, he was united in marriage to Linda (Mattioli) Marcoe at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. They were blessed with 41 years of marriage until Linda passed away January 9, 2006.
Joe was a quality control inspector at American Motors; retiring after 42 years of service.
He was very active at Holy Rosary Parish giving of his time and talents serving as an usher and helping at the annual parish festival. He and his wife enjoyed making pizza at the festival alongside other parishioners. Joe was on the board of directors for the AM Community Credit Union and served as a past president. He was a member of the UAW Local 72 Retirees and a lifelong member of the VFW. Joe’s favorite past times included golfing, bowling and putzing- fixing most things he got his hands on.
He will be deeply missed by his stepsons, Thomas (Heidi) Marcoe and Charles (Susan) Marcoe, 3 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild along with his sister in law, Barbara Camponeschi and many loving nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents and wife, Joe was preceded in death by his brothers, Julius, Nello, Peter and Pietro in infancy and his sisters, Pia Russo, Rose Matera Peterson and Giovanna Camponeschi.

Service Date March 31, 2015
A Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 11:15 at Piasecki Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave., Kenosha, WI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 2224 45th Street at 12 Noon. Entombment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.
