Born on July 28, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Lorraine H. (Wirth) Bode.
On September 17, 1955 at St. George Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Richard Greb. Together, they lived a life full of love, friendships and passions. In 1972, Joan and Dick founded Stainless Products, Inc. Sadly, after 41 years of marriage, Dick preceded her in death on September 17, 1996.
She was a member of the former St. George Catholic Church.
Professionally, Joan was always an important part of the family business, Stainless Products, Inc. She also was a devoted homemaker and was delighted to spend time with her family.
Joan enjoyed her meetings with friends at the Fireside Restaurant. She enjoyed traveling by motor home, gambling and Joan was a diehard Packer fan.
She is survived by her children, Debbie (Tim) Waeckerle, Jeff Greb and Cindy (Ozzie) Gross; her grandchildren, Jamie (Chad) Yancey, Lisa (Duane) Franti, Rachel Greb and Abby Greb; her great grandchildren, Karli, Emily, Alivia, Liam, Mason, Jacob and Savanna; her caregivers, Julie and Dee; and her in home caregiver, Una.
Joan’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Caring Solutions and Hospice Alliance, Inc., for the exceptional care and compassion shown to her.
To my children and their spouses, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends,
When I leave you do not weep for me.
Have a drink and remember how my jokes and laughing pleased you.
Look at one another smiling and play some country music.
As for me, I’ll be off somewhere making people laugh with my Johnny and his gun joke and washy washy with new blue Cheer!
Fly me to the moon and let me play among the stars and when you are ready I’ll be there waiting for you.
Take your time!
