Served with Jerry on the USS Theodore Roosevelt and you could not have asked for a kinder, more professional sailor that Jerry. So sorry to hear of his passing. Thoughts and condolences go out to his loving family.

I’m saddened by the sudden loss of one of my favorite Navy brothers for life. When we met on the USS Theodore Roosevelt we had an instant connection that will last forever. Jerry was one of the most laid back kindest people you’ll ever meet with a sense of humor that was second to none. I can tell a few stories about our times on TR that will make you cry from laughter. Rhonda you and the kids have me and my families deepest sympathy and always know that the Navy family lost one hell of a sailor. RIP Jerry you’ll forever be loved by me!!!

Our family is so very sorry to hear of Jerry’s passing. He is such a nice, kind, funny, smart and interesting hero. Our experiences with him as our boys’ football coach was the best! Jerry, this is going to be a hard one for “Sally to suck up!” Forgive us if it takes awhile. You will be missed, but always in our fond memories. Prayers for Rhonda and the whole family.

Too many great memories of Jerry and Colts Football and Knights Lacrosse to mention here. He was a great person and coach, and he always had an infectious smile and the standard issue shorts, even on very cold days when no other person could stand to wear them. From our family to his father Jerry and Rhonda and the all the children, our condolences, thoughts and prayers are with you. Jeff Kortenkamp & Family

One of the finest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I am devastated to learn of his passing. He was one of my most treasured friends. I miss him already.
