Jennie Metten, age 92, of Kenosha died peacefully on November 4, 2015 at Kenosha Senior Living with her niece, Mary Davidson, by her side.
Jennie was born on November 28, 1922 to the late John and Adella (Jakubowicz) Jakubowicz and was a lifelong resident of Kenosha where she attended local schools. On August 29, 1950 in Dubuque, IA, she was united in marriage to Charles Metten. Sadly, he preceded her in death on August 26, 2005. Jennie was employed by Simmons from 1942 until 1960, where she began working for the Kenosha Juvenile Court System until her retirement in 1978.
Jennie will be dearly missed by her niece, Mary Davidson, who has taken care of her for the past several years. She is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, John Jakubowicz; and two sisters, Mary Laba and Hattie Sarzant.
Funeral services in honor of Jennie will be private.
