A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she was born on April 4, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Oliver and Ann (Kubish) Mielke. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.
On November 23, 1946 at St. George Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Robert S. Komarec. After 29 years of marriage, sadly, Robert preceded her in death.
On and off for over 43 years, Jeanne was employed with Quaker Industries.
She was a former member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
Jeanne had a great sense of humor and she was very independent and generous. She enjoyed being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. For many years, on the 1st Tuesday of every month, she looked forward to lunch with her card club lady friends. It takes patience and perseverance and a love for living things to grow a garden with beautiful flowers. She was an exceptional flower gardener and grew some of the most beautiful poppies. Jeanne’s lived her life around the love of her family. Her grandchildren always held a special place in Jeanne’s heart.
Jeanne will always be remembered and loved by her son, Robert M. (Shirley) Komarec; her daughter, Patricia Ann Monteen; her grandchildren, Robert A. Komarec, Stephen (Claire) Komarec, Matthew (David) Monteen, Meghan (Andrew) Ansell and Michael (Shelley) Monteen; and her nine great grandchildren.
She is further survived by her brother, Jerry (Mary) Mielke; her brother-in-law, Jim (Rita) Komarec; and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Robert S. Komarec, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dolores Peck; and her son-in-law, Tim Monteen.
