Ambrose, loving mother of Tracie (nee Ambrose) Kenney of Pleasant Prairie and Kevin Ambrose of Bellair Beach, FL was born to life on June 1, 1942 and entered into eternal life on December 7, 2016. Jeanne died with her family at her side following a ten month battle with cancer.
After the death of her husband Homer back in 2000, Jeanne continued to live in and maintain their home of almost 50 years in New Hampshire and remained active in her community. Despite many attempts to persuade her to leave NH and be closer to her family here, she remained committed to her New England roots. Jeanne adored her five grandchildren and it was they who would convince her to at least make an extended holiday visit from November through January of each year. During these visits, Jeanne made many dear friends in the St. Anne Catholic Church community, and good times and laughs were shared with our close friends and neighbors.
She is survived by her son, Kevin (Wendy) Ambrose; her daughter, Tracie (Col. Ret. US Air Force, T.J.) Kenney; and her five grandchildren, Hannah and Rachael Ambrose, Emily Jeanne (Zach) Skanron and Patrick and Ashley Kenney. Jeanne is further survived by several nieces and nephews.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Homer E. Ambrose Jr.
Service Date December 10, 2016
A Prayer Vigil honoring Jeanne will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue. Jeanne will return to her beloved New Hampshire for a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Catholic Church and interment next to her husband in Pine Hill Cemetery.
