Janice was born to John and Christine (Watts) Tortorello on September 24, 1933, in Oak Park, IL and lived a full and vibrant life dedicated to her family and friends.
On November 26, 1955, Janice was united in marriage to Thomas Czarnecki at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Kenosha.
As Janice’s family grew, they became her greatest joy. She never missed an opportunity to spend time with them at sporting events, school activities, and family gatherings. Her nurturing spirit, warmth, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who knew her. Janice had a zest for life that prompted her to create countless memories, whether traveling or spending cherished time with friends and family.
After raising her family, she enjoyed her career as a fixture at Herbert’s Jewelers. Even in retirement, she looked forward to helping out over the holidays.
Janice will be lovingly remembered by her children, Thomas (Kathi) Czarnecki, Jr., Gerald (Kay-Lynn) Czarnecki, Richard (Teri) Czarnecki and Karen (Jim) Teunas; grandchildren, Joshua, Tyson (Irania), Brendon, Tawny, Brittany, Nick (Kat), Michelle (Cody), Kyle (Johanna), Annie, Samantha, John, Jacob, and Michael (Emma); and 6 great grandchildren, who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Janice was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Czarnecki, her parents, and her siblings, John Noie Jr., Barbara Caprata and Carlyn Richardson
