It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Janet M. Kottal Van Brunt, who peacefully left us on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at the age of 68. Janet’s life began on October 7, 1955, filled with joy, laughter, and love. She embraced each day with a vibrant spirit and touched the lives of everyone she encountered.
Janet’s light will continue to shine through her beloved daughter, Miranda Scott, who she adored beyond measure. Together, they shared a bond that transcends time and space, a bond that will forever keep her memory alive.
As we celebrate Janet’s remarkable life, we invite you to join us in honoring and remembering her at the funeral services and ceremonies that will be held in the coming days. Let us come together to share stories, offer comfort, and cherish the memories we hold dear.
Janet’s presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of kindness, compassion, and strength will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the lives of all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Mavis Brooks.
Services honoring Janet’s life will be held privately.
