Janet M. Hamburg, age 76, of Kenosha, passed away at her home on May 23, 2017.
Born in Vernon County, WI, on August 9, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Violet (Burch) Lawrence.
For over 20 years, Janet was employed with AMC/Chrysler Corp. until her retirement.
Janet had a passion for arts and crafts. She was an amazing cook and baker, enjoyed canning, vegetable gardening; as well as, shopping, lunch outings and casino trips. Janet was also a sports fan and followed her favorite teams, the Chicago Bears and Milwaukee Brewers.
She will be deeply missed by her two children, Kathy (Jeff) Unrein and Kim Hamburg; four grandchildren, David Kober, Brian Hamburg, Alex Unrein and Ashley Unrein; one great-granddaughter, Julie Hamburg; three sisters; five brothers; and dear friends Lisa and Karina.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Rosie and a brother, Norman.
Service Date May 31, 2017
A memorial service celebrating the life of Janet will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 6:00p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue. Private inurnment will be held in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
