A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was born on September 17, 1954, and was the son of the late Leonard and Ida (Faraca) Paskiewicz. He was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School and Gateway Technical College.
On June 23, 1979, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, he married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Susan Ann Trecroci.
He was employed as an Electronics Technician with Delphi Automotive, retiring in 2007. After retirement, he was employed with Elwood Corporation in Racine until the time of his death.
He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and the former St. Casimir’s Catholic Church. Jim was also a member of the U.A.W. Local #438.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, his life was filled with the love of family, and he always made everyone smile and laugh.
Jim was an excellent golfer and skillful handyman, able to fix anything. He had a passion for fitness and a love of music. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Susan Ann Paskiewicz; his loving children, Jennifer (Conly) Davidson, Gina (Chad) Melby, John Paskiewicz and Laura (Anthony) Stevens; his loving grandchildren, Jack and Colette Davidson, Sophia, Sienna, James and Reed Melby and Paul and Ruby Stevens; who all adored their ‘Bumpa’.
He is further survived by his siblings, Linda (Gary) Shuler, Gary (Susan) Paskiewicz, Laurie (Ben) Fapso, Carole (Dr. Mark) Decheck and Tina (Jeffrey) Moore; his brothers-in-law, Gerald (Jane) and Ernest Trecroci; and his many loving nieces, nephews and many close relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Amy Paskiewicz.
Service Date November 30, 2017
Funeral Services honoring Jim’s life will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 beginning with a prayer service at 9:45 a.m. from the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 1919 54th Street. Interment will follow in St. George Cemetery.
