Born in Kenosha, WI, Jim was an independent and adventurous spirit. He served two years in Vietnam as a communications and logistics specialist. Back home, he loved riding motorcycles and driving his VW van. Jim moved to Florida, and later to California, making new lifelong friends wherever he went. During retirement, he drove around the western United States in a camper van, staying in national parks, and sleeping under the stars.
Jim was an avid tech enthusiast, spending most of his time tinkering with the latest computers and gadgets. He loved old music, playing card games with his family, and talking about classic movies.
Jim was preceded in death by his son, Roger; his parents, Joseph and Alice; and his siblings, Marion, Thomas, and Kathy. He is survived by his brother, Richard; his sons, James (Rina), Joseph, and Michael (Sabrina); and his granddaughters, Mariyam and Aaliyah.

SERVICE LOCATION Piasecki Funeral Home
Funeral services honoring James’ life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, December 18, 2023 at the Piasecki Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave, Kenosha, WI.
The service may be viewed via livestream on the following link facebook.com/PiaseckiFuneralHome/live/. You do not need Facebook to watch.
Interment with full military honors will follow in St. George Cemetery.
A visitation for James will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the Funeral Home.
