Show Obituaries Show Guestbook Show Photos QR Code PrintJames “Barry” Chartier, age 77 of Kenosha, died peacefully on March 14, 2018, at Hospice Alliance, Inc./Hospice House, with his family by his side.
Born on July 17, 1940, he was the son of the late Leland and Marguerite (Thelen) Chartier.
From 1958 until 1961, he honorably served our country in the U.S. Marines.
On September 7, 1963, he was united in marriage to Arlene Schwer.
For 35 years, James was a dedicated employee with Wisconsin Telephone Company. Over the years, he also had worked various part time jobs.
He was an avid hunter and liked to spend as much time as possible at his cabin up north. He was the happiest when he was with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Arlene Chartier; his children, Bethany (Douglas) Mondrawickas, Beckie (John Mikrot Jr.) Morse, Nancy (Don) Liefbroer and Brian Chartier; his grandchildren, Melinda and Matthew Mondrawickas, Cody (Amber) and Casey Morse, Grace and John Mikrot III, Wayne III (Brittany) and Kooper Barbion, Lauren and Sarah Chartier; his two great grandsons; his brother, Dennis (Mary) Chartier; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia DeLaat.
James’ family would like to extend a special thank you to: Dr. Malik Bandealy, Dr. James Santarelli, Hospice Alliance, Inc./Hospice House staff and Fresenius Dialysis Center for the exceptional care that was provided. They will all hold a special place in their hearts.
Service Date March 19, 2018
Funeral services honoring James’ life will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 4816 7th Avenue. Interment with full military honors will follow in St. George Cemetery.
