So very saddened to learn of Jim's passing. Marilyn, I remember your sharing about his double lung transplant with me. What a courageous man, as is your entire family. Jim is an example of how we must live life to the fullest and a role model for us all. And, how deep love can be.

My sincere condolences to the Dietz’s family in their loss of Jim. Although I didn’t know him personally he certainly seemed to be a man who loved life and his family. My prayers go out to the family and friends who will hold him in their memories. May he Rest In Peace.

I did not know James Dietz personally. However, I saw that he had received a double lung transplant in 1998. It is amazing and truly a reflection of his determination, discipline and will to live that he lived for so many years with all the challenges transplantation incurs. I had a heart/bi-lateral lung transplant in 2004. People like James are few and far apart in the Pulmonary Transplant world and seeing what a full life he lived give so many of us hope. And family support is one of the keys for a good life. So a salute to Jim's loved ones, especially his wife. There must be so much love in your family. I am so sorry for your loss.

My favorite memory of Jim was he & Richard playing basketball on Jennifer Ave. They would go at it hard, get all sweaty & come in for large glasses of water talking about their game. Praying for the family.
